Do you love to garden? Well, did you know that you can make some extra cash doing it with herbs. Today, more and more people want to use fresh grown herbs when cooking rather then using store bought herbs from a plastic bottle. This would be great for those of you that already have a greenhouse or a garden.

How do you make money with herbs? Well, you can become an herb gardener and sell your herbs to local markets, restaurants, farmers markets, etc. If you’ve never planted herbs before, you may have more success by starting with transplants rather then seeds. When you are selecting your herbs, be sure they are meant for culinary use and not just an ornamental herb. The ornamental herbs tend to have a less desirable flavor because they have been grown for their appearance rather then their taste.

Some of the popular herbs can include basil, chives, garlic chives, cilantro, dill, mint, french tarragon, oregano, rosemary, thyme and sage.
