Make Money Online With Google Adsense

Adsense is operated by Google. This is a method of advertising that has become quite common on the internet. You will allow Google to place advertisements on your website for them and for other businesses. There is no cost to you. However, in exchange for the space on your website these ads take up, you will earn money each time a consumer clicks a link from an advertisement on your website. This is a great way to generate some extra income. The amount of money you earn will depend on the number of ads you have on your site as well as the amount of traffic on your website.

You may be saying this is too easy, what is the catch? It is easy, but there is no catch. This is a great way for businesses to get exposure in various places all over the internet. It also helps them cut down on advertising expenses because they only pay each time a consumer takes a link from a website. Most other types of advertising cost a set amount regardless of if anyone looks at it or not. This is a great method for new businesses that have a low budget for advertising. The more traffic they can generate to their site, the more profits they will make. In turn they can afford to advertise more.

Adsense is a winning situation for everyone. Businesses use it as a low cost way of advertising, website owners use it as a way to earn money, consumers use it as a way to find other products and services they are interested in, and Google uses it as an effective way to earn more money. In fact, Adsense has become so common you will find it on numerous websites just by surfing around the internet a little bit.

Google has a great system in place to determine the best advertisements to place on your website. They will place ads that relate to your products or services offered but not direct competitors. Google is able to determine market trends, customer demands, and evaluate the best ads for your website based on accumulated data that has been analyzed in those areas. This means you have a very good chance of earning money because a great deal of research has gone into determining what consumers are after.

There are many places on your website that you can place Adsense advertisements including your homepage, blogs, emails, and anything else you wish to use. You don’t have to sell products or services to benefit from Adsense either. You may have an educational site or information site. Any type of website can be used for Adsense. Remember that the ads will be fitting and related to the type of website you operate.

The process of signing up for Adsense and start earning money is very simple. Just go to www.Adwords.com. You will need to fill out some basic information on an application. Within 48 hours you will get a response telling you if you were approved or not. If you are not accepted you will need to contact them to get a full disclosure of why. It is important to have the application completely filled out as that is the number one reason why websites are rejected. Other reasons include personal websites that are not subjective enough and having a website under 15 pages.

Once your application has been accepted you will have to copy and page an html code into the pages you want ads to show up on. You can choose to display the ads vertically or horizontally on your website. You can even customize the colors to make them match your website better. Online help and customer service is available 24/7 if you have questions or other issues.

Adsense is very simple to set up and you can choose to stop being a part of the process at any time. The ads will be relevant to your website yet not direct competitors. You don’t pay anything to become a member of Adsense, so what do you have to lose?

A 14-Year-Old Champion’s Winning Formula For Success Is No ‘Secret’

“I see myself cross the finish line before I ever step foot on the racetrack. That’s why I keep winning.”

A line out of a current bestselling book? A quote from a famous athlete? A sound bite from a favorite movie? Not at all. It’s a quote from 14-year-old Shane “Go Go” McGoey. Although fairly new to the sport of motorcycle road racing, Shane is leaving his mark on literally every track he races on, surprising even the most seasoned racers. From his first race he has placed first the majority of times.

I was curious how this shy 14-year-old was able to consistently outrace the competition and become quickly recognized as a champ on the racetrack. His answer is simple:

“Well, I guess it’s the only choice I have. Why would I not win?”

The most amazing thing about “Go Go” McGoey is that he isn’t yet able to ride on the streets due to his age; he is already outracing extremely seasoned riders, he can’t go pro until he is 16; and he racing with stock equipment while racers who have high-end sponsors are using state of the art equipment.

When you delve into the mind of a champion, you will quickly realize that there is a formula for success. One that many people try to bypass and then wonder why they are not achieving all they could.

Currently many people subscribe to beliefs of visualization based on what they are reading in books like The Secret. Some readers may feel as if they have come across the Holy Grail of success, but this information has been around for centuries. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Although I am an avid reader of books like The Secret, I know
there is more to the process of success than simply visualizing
what you want. Many people want to believe the philosophies
presented in these books but still struggle with success. On the
other hand, there are others who subscribe to the beliefs of The
Secret in spite of never reading such books; people like Shane
McGoey.

You might be wondering why I would write about a 14-year-old road
racer in a business column. There are a few reasons.

“Go Go” McGoey’s thought processes are those of a true champion.
In order to succeed in business you have to think like a champ. A
champion doesn’t entertain thoughts of failure, only thoughts of
winning. There is no option but to succeed. And they are willing
to do what it takes to achieve this.

When not on the track, Shane’s actions are consistent with
winning such as running, biking, eating right, reading the latest
information on his sport and hanging out with other winners. To
win in business you have to do more than visualize what you want.
You have to prepare, read books, network and “hang out” with
other successful professionals.

Shane has heard countless times how lucky he is to win. When he
hears this he simply shrugs his shoulders. As with his racing,
winning in business often has very little to do with luck. It is
about preparation, commitment, vision and risk taking.

Shane began riding when he was six years old and began racing
when he was ten. His first mini bike was built from scratch with
a 125 cc lawnmower engine in it. Shane started where he was, with
what was available, never wavering from his dream.

When Shane needed money for a new tire, fender or pair of gloves,
he didn’t let the fact he didn’t have money stop him. He put
together a plan that included what he needed, who might be
willing to sponsor him and what a sponsor would get in return.
Keep in mind Shane is a shy young man who would rather race than
talk to people. Yet finding sponsors and risking rejection was a
means to an end. How many people can say they have the same level
of commitment to their dream?

How do I know all this about Shane? One, my company is one of his
sponsors. Two, he is my nephew. Three, he is someone I can admire
for his drive, determination and persistence. The next time you
think all you have to do is visualize what you want, think of “Go
Go” McGoey and take the necessary actions to make your dreams
come true.

Eight Keys to Success

Who among us does not want to be successful? Everybody wants to
achieve some level of success, whether it be in their personal
life or in the business world. Below are eight keys to success
that everyone should follow in their daily routine.

1. Set Goals. By doing this you will be able to work towards
success in a logical manner. Most people do not know how to find
success, so they jump from area to area in hopes that it falls in
their lap. And this rarely happens. Instead, you need to set
goals so that you are aware of the direction that you are moving
in. After you successfully meet and conquer one goal, you will
then want to move on to your next one. After a while, you will
see your self-confidence rise and your success increase.

2. Find inspiration for your goals. If you are aspiring to be the
top sales manager in your company, look for inspiration from
somebody who has been there before. Inspiration can often be
found in the most surprising places. Many people turn to books in
order to find somebody to look up to. This is a great way in
finding someone to look up to that is already successful.

3. Plan out your day in correspondence with your goals. In order
to reach your goals you are going to have to know how to get
there. By setting out a daily step-by-step process, you will be
able to reach smaller goals that will eventually lead you to the
big goal at the end.

4. Pay attention to your progress. At the end of every day make
sure that you look back and see if you did what you needed to do
in order to reach your goal. If you did not, find out why, and
then come up with a way to solve this problem in the future.

5. Don’t give up. There is no reason to ever give up on your
goal. If you do, it is your own fault. By sticking with your
daily steps, you will get to your goal sooner or later. The only
thing that can stop you is quitting.

6. Look forward to the end. By visualizing what it will be like
to reach your goal, you will be pushed to work harder.

7. Think positive. You never want to tell yourself that you
cannot reach your goal or that you are failing. By thinking
positive you will always be on the right track to success.

8. Appreciate the opportunity. By appreciating the opportunity to
reach your goal you are already halfway to the end result. Do not
lose sight of why you want to be successful.

Making Plans for Mom to Stay at Home

Having at least one parent stay at home is very important to many families, especially when the children are young. And most often it is the mother who chooses to stay at home, although stay at home dads are becoming more and more common. No matter which stays home, it requires planning to make the adjustment for everyone easier.

The one thing that immediately leaps to mind is that the family will have to do its best to live on a single income. This is true in most cases, although sometimes a stay at home mom or dad can earn enough from home to make the difference minimal… or even improve matters.

Financial matters can be tough. It is possible for a family to live on a single income in many cases, but it almost always requires significant sacrifice. No grand vacations. No keeping up with the latest tech toys. No shopping on a whim.

These may be replaced by coupon clipping, eating at home, and simple vacations. If you’re going to have to make big lifestyle changes, it is best to start the financial ones before one parent starts staying at home. This gives the family the chance to understand some of the implications right away.

But stay at home moms and dads also have to deal with tremendous social isolation. It is incredibly difficult to find friends when you’re at home. No more casual office gossip. Lunch out with friends becomes a rarity. It’s tough.

Expectations must also be managed. Is a perfectly kept home expected? What will the balance of responsibilities be when both parents are at home? What about time off for each?

All of these factors are things which must be considered and discussed beforehand. Disagreeing about responsibilities once things get going can only add to the tensions.

One thing you can try that can help with expectations is to have the parent who will not be staying home with the kids try it for a day. The stay at home parent can go do something else for the day, while the other does something outside of the house for a day. While it’s still not the same as doing the job seven days a week, it can help to give insight into how the day really goes for a stay at home parent.

Being a stay at home mom or dad is not for everyone or every family. Quite a bit depends on family dynamics and family income. But for those who can do it and enjoy it, few experiences are quite so rewarding on so many levels.

Recruiting on Message Boards

This has always been a hot topic, so it’s worth mentioning time and time again. There IS a right and wrong way to recruit on message boards, which goes far beyond just following spam rules.

Scenario 1

A new mother has signed up to a message board you visit often. Her first post may sound something like this:

“I’m looking for a way to work at home, can anyone help me?”

Take a look at what you know about her. If she hasn’t said anything but “I’m looking”, then all you know is she is a mother in need of an income. That’s it. So to reply with a plug for your business is not only rude, but also does not help you or the person posting the question.

Get to know this person first. Find out what her interests are. Signing someone up that’s not interested in your product is a waste of your time and theirs. By showing interest in this new person, you are not only proving yourself worth of friendship, but also laying the ground work for future recruits from those lurking. If they see you give a general interest in the person, and spot your signature line, they are going to much more likely to join should your business be what they are looking for.

Also another point that needs to be made – never email or send private messages unless that person has specifically asked for this information. Word of mouth travels far, and people remember those that “spam” them.

Remember: Quality Over Quantity!

Scenario 2

A new mother has signed up to a message board you visit often. Her first post may sound something like this:

“I’m looking for a way to work at home, can anyone help me? I might be interested in selling Candles or Children’s Toys. Any suggestions?”

First and foremost, DO NOT reply with your Gourmet Food business or any other business that does not have anything to do with Candles or Children’s Toys. She’s already mentioned that she’s interested in these types of products. Replying with anything other than what was requested can actually make you one look like a fool and two makes you look like you’re not interested in anything else BUT recruiting. You didn’t even take the time to see what she wanted in the first place. That doesn’t seem like you care much about their wants/needs.

Scenario 3

Message Board Post:

“Hi, I’m interested in the Mary Kay business opportunity. Can someone please post a little more information?”

As mentioned above, do not reply with …

You’ve got mail! OR I’ve PMed you! First of all it makes the business look “sneaky” like there’s something secretive about the business. Secondly, she didn’t request to be bombarded with emails or PMs. She asked that the information be posted there. Need I mention spam laws?

Lurkers…

There are way more lurkers on message boards versus actual posters. Some people just prefer to lurk and don’t ever post. If you post the information right there, lurkers will see the information and also see the link in your signature line. If you send the original poster and email or pm; the lurker is most likely going to search elsewhere for the information. Potential recruit lost.

Scenario 4

Message Board Post:

“Hi, I’m interested in the Discovery Toys business opportunity. Can someone please post a little more information?”

After the original post you see one or two posts. Maybe someone answered her question and they’ve been posting back and forth about it. Or maybe a couple of different reps have answered a couple of different ways. Do NOT jump in and say the same thing that’s already been posted. Do NOT jump in and say something different and say … visit my website or send me an email. This is just plain rude. If you can’t say something different than what has already been said or nothing more than contact me … don’t bother posting. Another thing that is rude is to contact the original poster privately when it’s more than apparent that she’s working with someone else.

Remember what your mother taught you. Play nice and don’t do something that you wouldn’t want done to you!
